Why use this upgrade Kit on your ZF6HP Transmission?

The ZF 6HP automatic transmission is prone to common seal problems that often lead to harsh & irregular shifts. The primary culprits are the valve body seals.

The problematic valve body sealing tubes are located between the valve body and the transmission casing, these tubes can lose their sealing ability over time, leading to pressure loss.

This Upgrade Kit:Â ZF6HP tube seal supports are inserted into your new tube seals to prevent the tube seals from partially collapsing internally when compressed, thus improving the longevity & seal pressure.

While servicing your transmission, while fitting your new tube seals, simply squeeze these inserts into their openings as shown.Â

This kit consists of 4 machined Stainless Steel tubes. The bore diameter suits the gallery ports of valve body, and will not restrict flow. The lengths are specifically designed to be slightly shorter than the compressed length of the rubber tube seals to avoid metal to metal contact.

"This kit does not include any rubber seals", you will require a new seal kit to complete this service on your transmission.

The valve body torque procedure will remain as per manufacturers specifications.
