IPD Intake Plenum & Y-Pipe

IPD's intake plenum and Y-pipe for the 997.2 Turbo, sold as either piece alone or together as a package. The plenum uses the factory 74mm throttle body, since the 997.2's smaller intake runners leave enough headroom without the larger 82mm "Competition" version other IPD plenums use; gains land mainly in the midrange and stay above the factory power curve from launch to redline. The Y-pipe is a ground-up redesign rather than a cast copy of the factory part, with larger inlets that flow a claimed 126 cfm more than stock, and bolts straight in with no fabrication. Neither piece needs an ECU flash or triggers a Check Engine Light, and the Y-pipe can be special-ordered in custom finishes.
Frequently asked
Does the IPD Intake Plenum & Y-Pipe fit my 911 Turbo / Turbo S?
This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S (997.2). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.
What does the price include?
The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.
How long until it arrives?
Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.
Should I buy the plenum, the Y-pipe, or both?
Either works on its own, but IPD designs them to complement each other; the combined package costs less than buying both separately at full price.
How much more does the Y-pipe flow than stock?
IPD states 126 more cfm than the factory Y-pipe, from a ground-up redesign with larger inlets rather than a cast copy of the OEM part.
Does either part require an ECU flash?
No. Neither the plenum nor the Y-pipe requires an ECU flash, and neither causes a Check Engine Light when installed correctly.
Which option should I choose?
The plenum and Y-pipe address different parts of the intake path and can be bought separately, but IPD designs them to work together; the combined package is priced below buying both individually, so if you're doing both eventually, the package is the better value.
Who installs it?
Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.
Is it covered by warranty?
Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.
Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?
Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
