Fabspeed's Link Pipes are a straight-through section that replaces the heavy, restrictive factory catalytic converters on the E46 M3, built for maximum power and sound. Expect a noticeably louder exhaust, though the built-in resonators keep the tone from getting too raspy. Built from Bent over an internal mandrel so the tube keeps a constant diameter through the bend, unlike crush-bending. T304L stainless steel, it's a significant weight reduction over the factory system and a DIY bolt-on installation with no cutting or welding. Because it fully removes the catalytic converters, Fabspeed recommends it for track and off-road use only. It's just as easy for Rennen Motorsport or an authorised dealer to fit, for owners who'd rather hand it to a professional.

Frequently asked

Does the Competition Link Pipes fit my M3?

This listing is specific to the BMW M3 (E46). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Will it sound too raspy or harsh?

No, Fabspeed says the built-in resonators keep the tone from becoming too raspy despite the louder volume.

Is this legal for street use?

Fabspeed recommends this product for closed track events and off-road use only, and it is not CARB or EPA certified.

Does it save weight?

Yes, Fabspeed states a significant weight reduction compared to the factory system.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
