Primary Muffler Bypass Pipe
A straight-through pipe for the Porsche 964 Carrera (1989-1994) that replaces the heavy, restrictive factory primary center muffler, built to the same spec as the pipe Porsche Motorsport used on its 964 Carrera Cup race cars. Dyno testing by Porsche and Fabspeed showed a gain of 12.5 hp (10 whp) with noticeably sharper throttle response, and it saves 25 lb from right behind the license plate, one of the best spots on the car to lose weight for handling. Run alongside the stock catalytic converter and stock secondary muffler, the car stays fully street driveable with a sportier flat-six tone, and being cat-back it complies with emissions rules. Built from 14-16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, bolting on with the factory ball clamps and donuts reused. Fits 964 C2, C4, RS America, Euro RS and Speedster models.
