Fabspeed's XperTune performance software for the Porsche 986 Boxster, applied through a handheld tuner that plugs into the OBD-II port rather than requiring the ECU to be pulled and bench-flashed. On the 3.2-litre Boxster S it lifts output from a stock 250 hp / 225 lb-ft to 263 hp / 236 lb-ft; on the 2.7-litre it goes from 217 hp / 192 lb-ft to 229 hp / 203 lb-ft. You read your car's stock data with the handheld, email it to Fabspeed's tuning team, and get a custom tune back within 1-2 business days. The handheld pairs to one vehicle and can flash back to stock at any point. Requires a Windows PC to manage the files.
