Frequently asked

Does the Competition Link X-Pipe fit my 911 Carrera?

This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 Carrera (993). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

How much power does it add?

Fabspeed's dyno testing showed gains of 18whp and 19 ft-lbs of torque.

Which flange style do I need?

Bischoff-style flanges for cars built 1994 through mid-1996, or Gillet-style flanges for mid-1996 through 1998; check your car's flanges against Fabspeed's reference photo before ordering.

Do I need to reuse any factory parts?

Yes, the original ball-joint clamps must be reused, though the factory metal exhaust donut isn't needed with this design.

Is this legal for street driving?

No, removing the catalytic converters means it's intended strictly for closed track events and off-road use.

Which option should I choose?

Choose Bischoff-style flanges if your 993 was built from 1994 through mid-1996, or Gillet-style flanges for mid-1996 through 1998 cars, since Porsche changed the flange design partway through the model run. Check your car's factory flanges against Fabspeed's reference photo before ordering, as fitting the wrong style won't bolt up.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
