A full RSR-style header and muffler system for the Porsche 993 Carrera (1994-1998, 3.6 and 3.8-liter), built for track use but liveable on the street. Uses 1.75in (45mm) header tubes, 26in long, in mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, with a loud, aggressive CUP-car exhaust note. On Fabspeed's dyno it added 29whp and 25 ft-lbs of torque, and it saves 43 lbs with the optional heat exchange fitted to retain in-cabin heat, or 47 lbs without it. Available with single or dual outlets, and with or without the heat exchange option. Simple DIY bolt-on installation. It can also be fitted through Rennen Motorsport or an authorised dealer near you, for owners who'd rather not do it themselves.

Frequently asked

Which cars does the RSR Header Muffler Kit fit?

Fits your Porsche 993 Carrera. Fabspeed lists this piece for: all Porsche 993 Carrera vehicles 1994-1998 - 3.6 liter / 3.8 liter and engines; all Porsche 993 Carrera vehicles 1994-1998 - 3. Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Will I still have cabin heat with this system?

Only if you choose the heat exchange option on the headers; without it, you lose the factory in-cabin heat but save an extra 4 lbs.

How much power does it add?

Fabspeed's dyno testing showed gains of 29whp and 25 ft-lbs of torque.

How much weight does it save?

43 lbs with the heat exchange option fitted, or 47 lbs without it.

Is this suitable for street driving?

Fabspeed designed it primarily for track use, but says it works well for street drivers who want an aggressive, track-inspired exhaust note.

Which option should I choose?

Choose the heat exchange option if you want to keep factory in-cabin heat working, which most street-driven cars need; skip it to save an extra 4 lbs if the car is track-only. Choose single or dual outlets for looks, and add the optional sport cat upgrade if you want to stay closer to emissions-legal street use rather than a pure track setup. Add Fabspeed's RSR Deluxe Round Tips for a more finished look, or leave it at None for the standard competition outlets.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
