GiroDisc brake rotors for the Porsche 997 GT2 (2008-2009), available for both standard steel-brake and PCCB-equipped cars. The larger rotor diameter acts as a greater heat sink than the factory disc, reducing brake fade and extending component life under repeated track use. The hat is US-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium; the disc is GiroDisc's own cast iron, poured and machined in-house in the USA, with a curved vane design that pumps cooling air through the rotor as it spins. A floating mount on 8 to 10 cadmium-plated drive pins, secured with grade-12 cap screws and anti-noise spring washers, lets the disc expand with heat without rattling, while retaining the factory handbrake and OE-spec braking feel.
