A carbon fiber heater duct tube for the Porsche 964 Carrera (1989-1994), replicated from the factory 964 RS part but built in genuine carbon fiber with a clear-coat finish rather than the OEM's roto-formed plastic. It replaces the left-side fan blower motor assembly and ductwork while still routing plenty of heat into the cabin, saving 8 lb (3.7 kg) from the rear of the car for better handling and less rotational weight. Installation is a simple DIY bolt-on: remove the two 10mm side bolts holding the heater blower, unplug the wiring harness, loosen the hose clamps, and fit the carbon duct in its place. Removing the blower motor may need an extra wiring relay to stop the car's computer flagging a fault code. It suits either path: fit it yourself, or have Rennen Motorsport or an authorised dealer do it for you.

Frequently asked

Does the Carbon Fiber RS-Style Heater Duct Tube fit my 911 Carrera?

This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 Carrera (964). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Carbon pieces are made to order at Fabspeed USA, and the standard one-week lead time doesn't apply: the lay-up and curing process means build times vary a lot with part complexity. That's exactly why these are consult-only — we confirm the current build time with Fabspeed and give you a real date on your free consult before anything is ordered. Delivery to Australia then adds 3-4 days via UPS, included in the price.

Does this still provide cabin heat?

Yes, it's designed to replace the blower motor and ductwork while still routing plenty of heat into the cabin.

What's different from the factory RS part?

The factory Porsche piece is roto-formed plastic with visible parting lines; Fabspeed's version is genuine carbon fiber with a clear-coat finish.

Will I get a warning light after removing the blower motor?

It's possible. Fabspeed notes this may need an extra wiring relay installed to stop the car's computer flagging a code for the missing heater blower.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
